The Island Resort at The Legacy is located in Southeast Michigan in Ottawa Lake, nestled along the Award-winning, four and a half star, Legacy Golf Course. The resort is located approximately 3 miles west of Exit #5 off of US 23, in Michigan, about 5 miles north of the Sylvania, Ohio border. The resort is about 10 minutes north of Toledo, and 15 minutes south of Dundee, Michigan. The Island Resort at The Legacy is southern Michigan’s newest corporate retreat and leisure resort. There are a variety of nearby activities and attractions, which are listed below.
Also, the resort has two lakes – a five-acre fishing lake (stocked with bass, bluegill and catfish) and a two-acre swimming lake with a sandy beach area. For an additional fee, guests can rent paddle boats and kayaks on the five-acre fishing lake. Also, the resort is only 30 minutes west of Lake Erie.
The Legacy Golf Course, an Arthur Hills design, has 18 Championship holes on 207 rolling acres, dotted with 5 lakes, including #8, a par 3 island hole. The Golf Course is a great place for golf, dinning, and also has a pro shop and lounge. Among all of this, is the new Claire Batista Golf Academy.

Each cabin has two bedrooms downstairs and a spacious loft above, with bunkbeds (linens are provided), and a sleeper sofa, for a total of eight separate beds! Sleeps 12 people. (NOTE: one cottage has one less bedroom on the first floor, and, therefore, has a total of 6 separate beds. Sleeps 10 people. This cottage is also handicapped accessible for a wheelchair on the first floor.)
